For Children's Authors
Need a teacher's guide for your book?
                      Ideas for school visits?

With reductions in school budgets
and No Child Left Behind, schools have less money and time for school author visits. I can show you how to present your book as an essential link to learning, not merely an "extra."

During 16 years of teaching students in grades K to 6, I've developed hundreds of activities that link literature with all areas of the curriculum. I hold a Master's Degree in Teaching from the University of Virginia and an endorsement in teaching ESL (English as a Second Language). Look for my articles in Scholastic's
Instructor magazine for teachers of grades Pre-K to 8.

Teacher's Guides
I create customized teacher's guides for authors of children's books. Instead of showing educators how to teach your book, I'll guide them in ways to teach state learning standards using your book.  You can print your guide to hand out at school author visits, or include it on your website for teachers to download.

School Author Visits
Are you wondering how you can share your book with students?  Or do you want to update your current presentation to reflect your state's learning standards?

I can help you with:

1. Translating your presentation publicity (on your site, brochures, etc.) into "teacher lingo" that reflects state curriculum standards
2. The above, plus creating activities for school author visits that align with your state's curriculum standards
3. Tips on behavior management for presentations with both small and large groups (free with any of the above services)
